We understand that our dancers come from diverse backgrounds with varying financial circumstances. Our aim is to remove barriers and encourage all members of our community to experience and contribute to the events we cherish.
With this vision in mind, we have adopted a sliding-scale payment model for our live-music dance events.
How the Sliding Scale Works
We provide a suggested payment range (for example, $10–$25), clearly communicated ahead of each dance. Dancers can then choose the amount within this range that best fits their individual circumstances and feelings about the value of the event.
Here's how you might approach choosing your payment:
Lower End: Choose this if your resources are more limited right now, but you still want to participate and dance with us. We warmly welcome you.
Mid-Range: Choose this if you're comfortably able to cover your participation, and this feels balanced for your current situation. Your support helps maintain our regular offerings.
Upper End: Choose this if you're able and willing to help sustain Dance Eclectic's ability to host live musicians, high-quality venues, and special events. Your generosity supports those who may not be able to contribute as much.
No matter what you choose to pay, your presence is valuable to us. Everyone is respected equally on the dance floor, regardless of their financial contribution.
